Marks Park Archery Club has Johannesburg’s largest archery range, with 32 competition-standard target butts on a 130m range. We welcome beginner and experienced archers alike who wish to learn and participate in the sport.
Marks Park Archery Club is one of South Africa’s top target archery training and competition facilities.
We are one of the oldest archery clubs in Johannesburg, with a history reaching back to the 1960s. Our archery range is one of the many sporting facilities at Marks Park Sports Club in Emmarentia, Johannesburg.
The club has a rich history of promoting and developing the country’s target archery talent. We are proud to have hosted the SA National Archery Championships from 2009 to date.
The club is affiliated with the Gauteng Provincial Target Archery Association and the sport’s governing body SA National Archery Association.

FAQ's
Yes, we host regular beginner classes throughout the year. We supply the equipment until you’re ready to buy your own and take part in competitions.
Yes, you’re welcome to join us when the range is open on a Saturday. You can find out more about visitors’ fees and arrangements on our website.
We teach and support modern recurve archery, although we welcome all archery styles, including regulation compound bows. We do not permit crossbows on the range.
Absolutely. We recommend that boys and girls from age 10 try their hand at our beginner classes, and we have club archers in their 50s and 60s shooting competitively.
